Our Process

01.

Consultation & Planning

We start with a conversation to get to know you, your vision, and your unique story. Whether it’s choosing the perfect location, discussing wardrobe ideas, or understanding the moments you want to capture, we’ll work together to plan a session tailored to you.

02.

The Photo Session

This is where the magic happens! In a relaxed and fun environment, we’ll guide you through the process to ensure you feel comfortable and confident. Whether it’s candid moments or carefully crafted poses, we’ll capture the essence of your personality and connections.

03.

Editing & Refinement

After the session, we will allow you to select your favorites then we will edit your best images, enhancing every detail to create stunning, timeless portraits. Each photo is crafted with care to reflect the beauty and authenticity of your moments.

04.

Delivery & Beyond

Once your images are ready, we’ll present them to you through an online gallery on Pixieset. From there, you can select prints, albums, or digital formats to suit your needs. We’re here to help you preserve and display your portraits in ways you’ll treasure forever.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

The number of pictures you’ll receive depends on the type of session you book and the package you choose. Here is a general idea, but more photos can always be added at an additional cost.

-Mini Sessions: Typically, you’ll receive 10 fully edited images.
-Standard Sessions (Families, Couples, Graduates): Expect 15-35 fully edited images depending on the type of session
-Weddings: Depending on the duration of coverage, you’ll receive 400–800 fully edited images capturing all the key moments and details of your special day.

Do you travel for sessions?

Yes! We love traveling to new locations. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance. Let us know your vision, and we’ll make it happen!

Can we have both of you photographing our session?

Of course! If we are both available for your session, we will photograph that day to get unique angles, small details, and two perspectives. This is an additional $75 fee. (We both are included in weddings.)

Do you offer mini sessions?

We do offer mini sessions! Please follow our social media pages for places and times on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.

Can I choose my photos from the session?

Of Course! You will be able to select your favorite photos from the session before we edit them. Once you have selected them, we will edit your favorites. If you can't decide and love them all, there is an option to purchase more photos or even your full gallery!

How should we dress for our session?

1. Coordinate, Don’t Match
Choose outfits that complement each other without being too matchy-matchy. Stick to a color palette with 2–3 coordinating colors and mix in neutral tones for balance.

2. Keep It Timeless
Opt for classic styles and avoid loud patterns, big logos, or overly trendy items. Solid colors, soft textures, and simple patterns photograph beautifully and stand the test of time.

3. Dress for the Setting
Consider the location of your session. For outdoor shoots, soft, earthy tones or pastels often work well. For formal settings, elevate your look with more polished, sophisticated attire.

4. Layer and Accessorize
Add layers like cardigans, scarves, or jackets for extra texture and dimension. Accessories, such as hats or jewelry, can enhance your look, but keep it simple to avoid distractions.

If you’re unsure, feel free to send us your outfit ideas ahead of time. We’re happy to help you refine your look to ensure it’s perfect for your session!

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

Absolutely, it’s okay! Most people feel a little unsure or nervous in front of the camera at first, and that’s perfectly normal. Our goal is to make you feel as comfortable and confident as possible during your session.

Here’s how we’ll help:

1. Guidance Every Step of the Way:
We’ll guide you through poses and prompts that feel natural, so you never have to worry about what to do. You’ll be surprised how effortless it can feel!

2. A Relaxed Atmosphere:
We focus on creating a fun, easygoing environment where you can just be yourself. There’s no pressure to be perfect—just enjoy the moment, and we’ll take care of the rest.

3. Capturing the Authentic You:
We love capturing candid moments, laughter, and the unique connection you share with your loved ones. Those real, unscripted emotions often make the best photos.

Remember, it’s our job to highlight your best self. Trust the process, and by the end of the session, you might even find yourself enjoying being photographed!

What if I am late to my session?

Your session begins at the agreed upon time. If you are late, that amount of time will be deducted from the beginning of your session. We will take photographs for the remaining time left. The number of photos taken and promised during the session may be decreased.

When will I receive my gallery?

We typically have sessions completed no later than 3 weeks from the date the photos are taken. (Weddings, of course, take longer.)
***If there is a family emergency or extreme illness, the amount of return date could be longer.

What if I need to cancel?

In the unfortunate event that you need to cancel, your retainer fee is kept and will not be refunded. If you reschedule within 30 days of the session date, we will transfer the original retainer fee to the new rescheduled session. This is only applicable for one time.
